My Bloodwork

Bloodwork helps me look beneath the surface and connect habits with physiology.

Bloodwork gives me one of the clearest windows into how my body responds to training, nutrition, recovery, and overall lifestyle. It helps me move beyond assumptions and look at what is actually happening physiologically.

One of the clearest examples came at the end of 2025, when I reached a very low body fat level (as shown in Body Composition) while combining strict 16:8 fasting with a demanding training schedule. Although that level of leanness looked impressive on paper, it came with physiological trade-offs and contributed to low testosterone and symptoms such as nervousness, lower stress tolerance, reduced resilience, worse recovery, lower drive, and a general sense that the system was under strain.

That phase taught me something important: leaner is not always healthier. Hormones, training volume, fueling, body composition, sleep, and recovery all interact. As a result, I deliberately shifted toward eating more, regaining body mass, and creating better conditions for long-term health and performance.

As you can see below, blood markers are most useful when interpreted in context rather than in isolation.
